What I like most about American Idol

I think the greatest thing about American Idol is that often the contestants do a slightly modified version of older songs.........tunes that haven't gotten airplay for years on traditional radio. The version of Creedence Clearwater Revival's Long As I Can See The Light by Crystal Bowersox was amazing.....the same goes for Casey James' version of Jealous Guy, a John Lennon song......The thing that has surprised me the most is that often I'm finding I prefer the newer versions!
